The Committee for Developing Countries (CDC)

ICMI contributes to the work of the Committee for Developing Countries (CDC), a sub-committee of the International Mathematical Union. The CDC was established in early 2008 with the mandate of (i) deciding on the division of resources for developing countries between IMU's Commission on Development and Exchanges (CDE) and Developing Countries Strategy Group (DCSG), and (ii) designing a structure for a future Commission for Developing Countries to be presented at IMU's next General Assembly in 2010.

In the recent years, CDE has contributed funds for participation in ICMI regional congresses. ICMI and CDE have also jointly supported the travel of the interactive exhibition “Experiencing Mathematics!??? in Africa and now in Latin-America...
